Do you groom them? All dogs need to be groomed either by you or a professional. A dog's hair, long or short needs to be brushed. This helps with removing dead, lose hair from the body and makes the skin healthier. Bathing is important as well, not to mention that they smell better. There are just as many shampoo's available for dogs as there is for humans these days, but I must warn you, most shampoo's made for humans are not formulated for dog's coat and skin. Standard Poodle Lion Clip

Here is Bosco sporting his Lion look. This is a modified Continental Clip which is the most popular show trim for standards. In the Continental Clip, the hindquarters are shaved with pompons on hips. The face, feet, legs and tail are shaved leaving bracelets on the legs and a pompon on the tail. The rest of the body is left in a full coat. With this style that Bosco is wearing, there are no pompons on the hips and I taper the hair line down from his neck. Also, he has a small mustache and a goatee.
