OK, so Bosc was a little apprehensive to do this photo shot, but what the heck, he got some nice treats to enjoy after one of his most embarrassing moments.

Healthy people infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Is Life's Abundance Too Expensive?

Many new Field Representatives experience a common phenomenon. While they themselves feel there is tremendous value in the Life's Abundance dog food and cat food, they can be persuaded by others that the cost of our food is too high and no one would ever want spend that kind of money to buy pet food.

Sound familiar?

Of course, that opinion is completely false and there are several things I could say that would effectively counter such an argument (read mostly garbage dog food). But I recently received an email that may help put a little different perspective on the matter. The subject of the email was regarding the high price of gasoline.

Here is the text of the email...
Think a gallon of gas it too expensive? If so, have you purchased any of the following items lately?

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ..........$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ......... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ...... $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .. $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 ....$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source

(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?

So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at...............
(you won't believe it....but it is true........)
$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)

So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump.

Life's Abundance dog food is about $1.50 per lb. and the Life's Abundance cat food is about $2.00 per lb. Considering that this is less than the cost of good quality hamburger, and that there are about 92 ingredients in each kibble (including chelated minerals, live probiotics, pomegranate extract, hormone and steroid free chicken, fruits, veggies, and more) that is a real bargain. But remember, it's not always about dollars and cents - it's about a higher quality of life for our pets.

Dead Pets In Pet Food - Shocking!!!

This is just shocking! I heard this and I am outraged, even saddened. To think someone takes their beloved pet to the vet and the pet dies. Many people if they have a large pet can not take him home to bury, so they say their goodbyes and leave them to be "properly disposed". Now this... I can't even imagine how I would feel knowing that my baby is now in pet food. NOT to mention now feeding that food to my pets. Be safe - feed Life's Abundance. Ordering website is http://www.pipschoice.com/ named after my std poodle Pippin. He loves Life's Abundance

Overweight Dogs & Cats

Studies show that one third of Americans are so overweight they are considered obese, but is this a problem among our beloved pets? The answer is yes! Although a little bit of extra weight on our pets may make them a little more cuddly or cute, it actually is detrimental to their health.

What are Some of the Major Causes of obesity?
• Overeating
• Lack of exercise
• Hormonal problems
• Improper feeding (such as leaving food down all day)
• Slowing down of metabolism (especially in older dogs)

We all know that food plays a major role in the overall weight of humans as well as animals, but the question is:

What should Pet Food Contain?
Just like humans, the amount of calories found in the food consumed, produces an increase or decrease in weight. Because an animal is fed the same food everyday unlike humans, it is vital to their health that each calorie be used to its best advantage. Many pet foods on the market today use fillers in their food which include empty calories that add to the weight of our pets. When looking for the meal your animal should eat every day be sure it is a food with calories that contain ample amounts of protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

How Can I Determine whether my Pet is Overweight?
An examination of your pet should be done regularly to check for obesity.

* Easy to feel ribs without excess fat VS. Difficult to feel ribs with excess fat.
* Viewed from the side, belly is tucked up VS. Viewed from the side, there is minimal to no tuck.
* Viewed from above, a noticeable waist in front of the hips VS. Viewed from above, no waist in front of the hips.

What to do if your Pet is Obese?
The first thing you should do is to see your veterinarian. This will rule out any health conditions and help you see that you find an accurate ideal weight. You will then need to find a weight loss pet food which has all the proper nutrients.
My company offers a wonderful balanced weight loss formula for overweight pets, but still has all the needed nutrition.
Think fetch instead of treats and take more frequent walks. Treats that would not put on the extra weight would be things like carrots, ice cubes, or Life’s Abundance Wholesome Hearts Treats.
You should start seeing the weight come off in matter of a couple of weeks. Continue to monitor them, and they will be on their way to living a happy healthy life. See Ingredients list HERE

Meat bound for landfill now heading for your dogs bowl

The Landfill Diversions Program partnered with three Portland, Oregon, USA, Walmart stores in an effort to use unwanted grocery store food as pet food for rescued animals, according to an article from Fox News Oregon.

The program collects expired turkey, chicken, beef and pork from stores that would otherwise throw the meats out. The food is distributed from the northeast Portland home of Virginia Dunn, director of the group Northwest Working Dogs. According to Dunn, any pet owner who wants to feed animals raw food is eligible for the program.

"The US Department of Agriculture says literally billions of pounds of meat go in the landfill every year and it could be diverted and used for animal feed, which is obviously much healthier for dogs," Dunn said.

Sounds like the pet food industry has found another way to cut costs with meat that is literally garbage.

Here's a thought. Why not feed a food with human quality ingredients like Life's Abundance? Fresher, Safer & More Nutritious - that's Life's Abundance order at http://www.pipschoice.com/

Home based pet food business

Why would I be writing about a home based pet food business on The Healthy Dog? I'll tell you, because there are so many pets counting on me to share with their owners about good nutrition. Here are Some Things To Consider:

Since 1999, our Representatives have been gaining their share of the ever growing $18 Billion dollar pet food market. Pet owners are thankful to know of healthier alternatives and are eager to make a switch for the better. Contrast that with the response you might get selling lotions, potions, or super juices!

There are 3 questions that may help you decide to join our Team
1. Do you have a pet or know anyone who has a pet?
2. Do you know anyone with a pet who doesn't feed them?
3. Do you know anyone with a pet who wants to feed them old, spoiled, non human quality products intentionally?

The answer is easy, people want to do the best for their pets. In fact, most pet owners say that they take better care of their pets than they do themselves. That being the case, do you see an opportunity here?

When considering the potential here, consider this illustration. Imagine if more than 40 years ago a little known company named Purina came to you and said, "If you will recommend our pet foods to every pet owner you meet, we will pay you for that sale and every sale thereafter residually and for life (just like royalties on a hit song or movie)". Where would you be financially right now? That would be a revolutionary concept in pet food sales, right? Well, that is exactly what our opportunity can do for you.
