Turkey Meal
Turkey meal is the first ingredient in this natural dog food recipe. Some foods contain whole turkey or turkey parts, which naturally contain a fair amount of water. We use turkey meal because most of the water has been removed, making it a concentrated source of protein. This means that there is a greater “protein content” in one pound of turkey meal versus one pound of whole turkey or turkey parts. FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUPPIES: When ready to eat solid food, begin feeding moistened kibble and "free feed" until fully weaned, between 6-8 weeks old. Individual Meal Feeding: From 8 weeks to 6 months, divide the daily amount and feed 2-3 meals in a 24-hour period. After 6 months, divide the daily amount and feed 2 meals in a 24-hour period. I have to say this product saved my dog's life.  Let me explain.... I have a standard poodle named Bosco. Grooming a bad dog

Patience is the key.  Some dogs just don't like to be pretty.  By that I mean, they don't like to be bathed, brushed, and have their hair cut.  So what do we as groomers do?  we take great care in all those steps.  The bath is always the best thing to do first.  If you get them clean that's half the battle.  Next, drying is done by either hand drying or cage drying.  Cage drying is Not a bad thing when cool air is used and the groomer is present while the dog is drying.  After the dog is dry, the brushing is started.  That is when the fun begins.  We do out best with how the dog acts.  Some dogs need to be muzzled for the safety of both the groomer and the dog.  If the dog freaks out, then we work fast to get done with the groom so the dog is not stressed out and can go home......

The hidden mats on a dog!

So often a dog will come in and the owner would like just a trim.  That request is not always possible due to the hidden mats down close to the skin.  On this little poodle, the owner wanted just a little hair cut off.  After examining the coat condition, I determined that there was a lot of mats and it was not possible to brush and comb all those mats out just give him a light trim.  In order to do just trim would require a throughly brushed out coat.  This little dog would not have tolerated that much effort and frankly, it's not easy on the dog or my hands.  So this is the after picture.  A short haircut all over, and a happy little dog!  This toy poodle needs to be groomed every 4-6 weeks and brushed daily at home in-between those times so this matted condition doesn't happen again and a longer hair style is possible.
