Toy Poodles used a Service Dogs
Meet Max, he is a service dog that belongs to a lady veteran that served our country during Operation Desert Storm, popularly known as the first Gulf War. A service dog as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act is any dog that has been trained to do a specific task in order to help his or her disabled owner live a more normal life. These specially trained dogs do things such as guiding the blind, pulling a wheel chair, retrieving and picking up objects to hand over to his owner and alerting the person to oncoming seizures or other medical conditions that are all common tasks performed by service dogs. They are allowed by federal law to accompany their handler anywhere they go, places like: restaurants, movie theaters or grocery stores. Access is required by law and can not be denided. These dogs are an important extension to their handlers lives. Many people could not cope without them. Many thanks goes to these brave little helpers.
