Dog Food Recalls food list - 2012

It is an unfortunate reality, yet another widespread pet food recall has been issued. At this time, it is a voluntary recall including 14 different pet food brands sold in more than 40 states due to possible salmonella contamination. The pet food brands involved in this recall May 2012 are listed below:

- Canidae found at most stores
- Chicken Soup For the Pet Lover's Soul found at most stores

- Diamond found at most stores
- Diamond Naturals found at most stores
- Kaytee Fort-Diets for Mouse, Rat and Hamster found at stores
- Kirkland found at Costco
- Natural Balance found at most stores
- Premium Edge found at Online stores, Pet Food Direct; The Farm Store; Buster's Natural Pet Supply; Online Pet Depot
- Professional found through dealers in many states
- Taste Of The Wild found at most stores
- Wellness found at most stores

In addition, according to The Center for Disease Control, 14 people in nine states have been infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Infants. The CDC reported that multiple brands of dry pet food produced by Diamond Pet Foods at a single manufacturing facility have been linked to some of these infections.
