Omega 3 Fish oil for dogs

You have found the best fish oil you can buy!  Our fish oils contain at least 30% EPA and DHA, an ideal concentration for the overall health of your dog or cat. The oil is in a triglyceride form, which is highly bioavailable and without added flavors so it has a natural taste that dogs and cats love.

Our liquid fish oil supplements are effortless to feed compared to gel capsules, which can be difficult to swallow and messy when rejected. The 2-oz. bottle has an easy-to-measure dropper and the 8-oz. bottle has an easy-to-use cup. (A triglyceride fish oil will not have any effect on the plastic dropper or measuring cup.)

Sealogix fish oil offers outstanding value. For example, it cost only $.18 a day for a ten-pound cat and only $.37 a day for a 40-lb. dog on Autoship.

Dependable Quality

In its unpurified form, fish oil contains many environmental contaminants, some of which can be harmful to your pet’s health. To purify the oil takes many steps, each one adding to the cost of manufacturing. It is important to buy your fish oil from a company that not only says it purifies the oil, but one that is willing to share the test results from every batch made. It’s the surest way to know what you’re feeding is perfectly safe.

Sealogix fish oils for pets are made in a human pharmaceutical facility … the same place as our Sealogix for people. They are highly concentrated and ultra-pure. Like our Sealogix for people, each bottle receives a nitrogen flush to remove oxygen from the bottle before it is sealed for ultra freshness. Plus, Sealogix fish oils meet or exceed the highest standards in the industry for quality assurance. In fact, each batch of Sealogix for pets is tested by an independent third-party organization (IFOS) and the results are posted right here so you can see the quality, concentration and purity that Sealogix supplements offer.  See IFOS Consumer report Click on Bottle

Beneful Dog Food

More than 3,000 online complaints have been filed by dog-owners claiming Purina Petcare Beneful’s dry “kibble” variety is killing and hurting dogs, according to the class action lawsuit filed Feb. 5 in federal court.
Specifically, the suit lists the automotive antifreeze component propylene glycol as a primary ingredient in Beneful’s dog food.
Propylene glycol, a substance the suit says is toxic to cats and dogs, may be included in Beneful’s ingredients list because it helps retain the food’s moisture, according to the suit.

Some Reasons Why Your Dog May Stop Eating

When your dog stops eating it can be quite distressing. What perhaps can be more distressing is the myriad of reasons why they might stop eating.
Sickness
Sometimes it is hard to believe that our typically happy and energetic dog can get sick but it can happen. Just like us, your pup can get a cold or even the flu. Two things you can do to keep your dog healthy are to feed them a balanced and nutritious diet and give them their NuVet Plus. When the immune system is healthy, your pet is healthy!
Depression
Like people, dogs too can become depressed too. When this occurs it is not uncommon for them to eat less or stop eating all together. If you can uncover the source of your pup’s depression then you can usually work to resolve their poor appetite. Extra walks and plenty of playtime with their human family can often help to ease the depression resulting in their eating normally again. If you are concerned, it is probably time to visit your vet.
Change In Diet or Time to Change the Diet
Changing your dog’s food can also affect your dog's appetite. If your pooch is used to eating canned or soft dog food and you decide to switch them to dry dog food, you might find they resistant to the change, resulting in an abandoned food dish.  Transitioning your dog gradually by mixing canned food with dry food can help. On a weekly basis simply add less of the canned food to the dry food until your pup is on an entirely dry food diet.

Mouth Pain
It is not uncommon for dogs to experience tooth and mouth pain. A poor diet, age and sickness are all factors that can affect your dog’s mouth. Pain caused by a damaged tooth, a mouth sore and even periodontal disease can certainly deter your furry friend from eating even their most favorite treat. Among some signs to look for, are bad breath, plaque and even sneezing, swollen gums, red gums, bleeding loss or falling out teeth.
Add these to your dog's health plan
Ingestion of a Toxic Substance
Even the most observant dog owner can’t watch their pooch every second of every day. How many times have you turned your back only to find that they have quickly snatched up that chocolate candy you left on the table? What is perhaps more worrisome is that things that are completely innocuous to humans can by quite poisonous to a dog. Grapes and chocolate are two foods that dogs should avoid. Also, Xylitol, a sugar substitute that is becoming more commonly used in the United States can have deadly consequences to dogs even when ingested in small doses.  If you think your dog has been poisoned, call your vet immediately!

Groundhogs day February 2, 2015

Well, the groundhog has seen his shadow and is predating 6 more weeks of winter.

Punxsutawney Phil, the world’s most beloved and furry seasonal prognosticator, saw his shadow on Monday morning (despite overcast skies), portending six more weeks of winter.  Personally, I can't see how a groundhog even got out of the ground with all the snow.   Plus, the sky was so gray there could not even be a shadow.

Groundhog or is that Bosco?
So I am hoping for a early spring.
