This is Dusty. I have been grooming Dusty for 10 years now, he was diagnosed as blind a few months ago. He still knows to turn and face me as I talk to him. The owners like him in a short clip especially around his eyes. They have a tendency to tear and get all sticky, which is very smelly and more importantly bad for his well being.
The people at NuVet Labs are finding that dogs that are given NuVet Plus supplements can help reverse the size of cataracts thus improve the eye sight. Is it ever to late to start a pet on supplements? I say not, if Dusty were to be on these supplements there's no telling how much he could benefit. Dogs can live to be in their 20's and be quite healthy at that.
