How to get rid of skunk smell on a dog?

Here is a great recipe for your do it yourself home skunk smell remover.

1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
1 teaspoon liquid soap
(Dawn Dish washing liquid is often recommended, however any dish soap you have on hand will work)
Rubber or latex gloves

Mix ingredients in a container.
Thoroughly wet your dog with warm water and then add on the solution while it is still bubbling from the peroxide. Work it well into the coat. Be extra careful not to get it in the dog's eyes, nose or mouth; you can use a sponge to carefully wipe it onto his face. Let the solution stand for 10 minutes before rinsing. Rinse and rinse again. Dry your dog thoroughly, as some of the smell may still linger. Witness will cause the dog to still smell. This is an odor that is just very hard to get rid of. Best of luck to you.
